The Prometheus Trust is a registered UK charity (number 299648). It was founded in 1985 in order to encourage the establishment of education based on spiritual principles. The outlook of the Trust is universal and non-exclusive: it seeks to revive the best of the ancient philosophies and religions, and to link these with the spiritual practices of today.

As a preliminary to setting up schools and colleges, the Trust decided (in 1994) to reprint the entire works of Thomas Taylor, since the Platonic doctrines which Taylor largely introduced into the English-speaking world are some of the clearest expositions of the great spiritual truths which the Trust seeks to promote.

The trustees are (as of April 2001):

Tim Addey, chairman; Donald Skilling, secretary; Averil Addey, treasurer; Martha Lyn, Monica Skilling, Simon Wade, Guy Wyndham-Jones.

The trustees are involved in running informal study groups, meditaiton circles and retreats. They welcome enquiries form all who share their interest in intelligent spirituality.

The registered address of the Trust is:

194 The Butts, Frome, Somerset, BA11 4AG, UK.
